Hey! We’re David & Emma Jennings, based in Colchester, and we photograph weddings across Essex, Suffolk and the UK with a fun, relaxed, documentary vibe.

David Jennings
David is your lead photographer. With 10+ years behind the camera, he fell for the buzz of events and naturally moved into weddings across the UK. Calm, friendly, and quick on the candid moments, he’s all about storytelling that feels real and true to you. Throughout the day he will try to blend into the crowd, capturing the day as it unfolds.
Emma Jennings
Emma is your bridal bestie—the one you didn’t know you needed. She fluffs dresses, fixes veils, organises group photos, and keeps everything calm and on track from morning prep to the last dance. She brings a creative eye to planning and assisting, helping capture additional angles throughout the day. Think timeline tamer, hype queen, and problem‑solver with a smile.
Our approach is relaxed, natural, and unobtrusive. We let the day unfold and step in with gentle guidance only when it helps—quick, flattering couple portraits, smooth family groups, and then straight back to the party. David and Emma have a way that allows you to feel so comfortable around them, we spent the day laughing and joking and just having a great time!
The video of our ceremony is shot beautifully! We absolutely love their style of photography and didn’t feel like we ‘missed’ any of the day posing for loads of photographs but have so many stunning pictures. We had sneak pics so quickly and within 5 weeks our entire gallery.
Genuinely could not recommend anymore, we knew from our first call that our pictures would be great, but are still blown away by just how great they are. Memories to treasure forever, thank you!
We had the most incredible wedding, and David and Emma captured it all perfectly. They were organised, easy to communicate with, and made the whole process feel smooth from start to finish. On the day, they arrived early and stayed late, quietly working in the background while somehow managing to be everywhere at once. Every request we had, big or small, they made happen without hesitation. Nothing was ever too much. And Emma? She was basically our fifth bridesmaid, always nearby, fluffing the dress, keeping things calm, and bringing great energy. True to their word, the photos landed right on the four-week mark, and they were worth every minute of the wait. We were blown away, not just by how beautiful they were, but by how well they told the story of the day. They caught moments we hadn’t even noticed happening. We’re so grateful to them.
David photographed our wedding last Saturday and we can’t recommend him enough! From the very moment he arrived, he blended into the group & began taking photos. He wasn’t in our faces or in the way at all, it all worked perfectly the whole day. We had booked him from getting ready all the way to the evening reception, which was excellent. From the first quote & booking all the way to the day, communication was brilliant. We’ve had a few sneak peaks through, just 2 days after our wedding and they’ve made us so excited to see the rest as they’re just beautiful & such good quality 😍

We had the pleasure of Jennings Photography capturing our Wedding Day. David and Emma made the planning process very easy. Firstly, we were asked to send them ideas of what we wanted, then they put together their own timeline for the day. Jennings Photography specialises in candid (non-posed) shots, which is exactly what we wanted. At the editing stage, they kept us updated. They sent a link to a couple of sneak peek shots, which got us very excited! It didn’t take long at all for us to receive a link to the full gallery of 500 photos! We made it an occasion to look through all the photos with a glass of fizz on the TV. It was an emotional experience! David and Emma captured the day perfectly from start to finish. They were very discreet on the day. We hardly noticed the photos being taken, which really made those candid shots. We highly recommend Jennings Photography!

Great planning, ideas and information including a timetable before the day with an invite to make any changes, made for a relaxed friendly experience and access to David & Emma’s experience, knowledge and expertise was so appreciated. What a brilliant photographer David is. He recently captured our wedding and did a fantastic job. We were clear that we wanted candid photographs that didn’t disrupt the flow of the day and David delivered 10 fold! We recently received our gallery from him and as we scrolled through each photo we relived the memory and joy of the day with every image captured.
